Infectionist and vaccinologist Yevgeny Timakov urged Russians to be silent because of the coronavirus. He stated this in an interview with Sputnik radio.
The specialist explained that people infected with coronavirus, when breathing, spread viral particles into the surrounding space, but when they talk, more of them get into the air. When communicating, a person exhales air with much greater force.
“The social distance of 1.5 meters without a mask can be ineffective in this case. When this very coronavirus hangs in the air, at this moment the viral load increases. It is desirable to speak in a mask,”the doctor said.
In addition, one should not argue with violators of the mask regime and arrange a skirmish about this, because in this case "much more virus is released than if the violators were quietly standing in the crowd without a mask, and the rest would be wearing masks," the specialist added.
Earlier, Honored Doctor of Russia, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Pulmonologist Alexander Karabinenko, in a conversation with a Lenta.ru correspondent, made a disappointing prognosis for coronavirus. The scientist believes that COVID-19 can live in the human body for generations, because even after an illness it can remain in the upper respiratory tract.
