The Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov answered the six most popular questions about COVID-19 vaccination and the drug itself. He posts them to his Instagram page on Thursday, January 14th.

1. When and in what volumes will the vaccine be supplied to the Kaliningrad region?
According to Alikhanov, deliveries are already underway. The schedule brought up by the Ministry of Health of Russia to date is as follows:
- December - 3,000 doses; - January - 12,000;
- February - 30,000.
2. Who is being vaccinated now and when will the vaccination of not only doctors and teachers, but also other categories of citizens begin?
We will expand our coverage gradually, and we will definitely bring information to you through the media. The priority for us is the risk groups. Health care workers, teachers and educators, older people and people with chronic diseases that are a risk factor for coronavirus (especially diabetes)."
3. How do I make an appointment for a vaccination?
By the end of January, the Ministry of Digital Science will introduce a vaccination appointment service on the State Services portal. According to Alikhanov, it will be as simple and convenient as possible, as well as avoid queues.
4. What is the principle of distribution of the vaccine by regions?
The distribution of the vaccine is proportional to the population of the region. The exception is federal cities (Moscow, St. Petersburg).
5. How and when is it planned to complete the vaccination?
To obtain the effect of immunization, the adult population (persons over 18 years of age) must have immunity in the amount of 60% of the total population. The volume of vaccine production is multiplying every month."
6. Where can you get vaccinated in the Kaliningrad region?
To date, nine vaccination points are ready: in Kaliningrad, Sovetsk, Gusev, Ozersk, Mamonovo and Neman. Alikhanov added that in the coming weeks, similar points will be opened in other municipalities.
The day before, the head of the region said that up to seven thousand coronavirus vaccines would be delivered to the Kaliningrad region in January.
