During vaccination, a person does not receive a live virus - it is impossible to get coronavirus from a vaccine. The infectious disease doctor, candidate of medical sciences Yekaterina Stepanova spoke about this on the air of the MIR 24 TV channel. After being vaccinated, a person cannot infect others, she said. At the same time, the doctor noted, he himself cannot be 100% protected.

“We don't know how accurately you will be protected if you get this vaccination. Perhaps you will be able to carry a coronavirus infection and, like any person with a coronavirus infection (there are a lot of asymptomatic and mild forms and without vaccination, in young healthy people this is the most frequent variant of the development of the disease), you can become a source of infection,”she explained.
An important rule is that after vaccination you should not relax, you need to continue to observe preventive measures - wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance. This is especially true of the time between two injections.
“Between the two vaccines, precautions should be taken so as not to get a coronavirus, because immunity has not yet been formed after one dose of the vaccine, especially in such a short interval. It will be a shame, having started vaccination, to transfer the coronavirus,”the expert added.
