Primary care physicians should not only have the skills to diagnose diseases, but also know the approaches to the treatment of infectious diseases, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. The training program is aimed at improving the qualifications of about 500 specialists. Classes are held weekly on Saturdays. 180 people have already completed the training. The preparation includes the study of lecture material developed by the teachers of the Penza Institute for Advanced Medical Studies based on the "Temporary guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)." At the second stage, knowledge is tested. Each specialist is tested. At the end of the training, a certificate of professional development is issued.
IA REGNUM recalls that students of the Penza Regional Medical College involved in providing assistance to medical workers during the coronavirus pandemic will receive cash payments. For these purposes, 1.2 million rubles have been allocated from the regional budget.
