The Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Alexander Osipov, spoke about the importance of the day of people with disabilities. On December 3, he announced this on his Instagram account.
“Dear fellow countrymen! Today we have a special occasion to think about those who are around. But for whom it is much more difficult than for us. Get up to work, achieve heights in the profession and just walk or breathe. December 3 is the day of people with disabilities. In the world, more than a billion people have some form of disability, more than 100 million people with disabilities are children. 79,091 disabled people live in Transbaikalia, of which 5,187 are disabled children. And all these people need special support and protection. And our main task is to create comfortable living conditions for them. We can and should be close to those who need it. This is not just a date on the calendar, it is a reminder, it is a call,”wrote Alexander Osipov.
The Governor drew attention to the fact that in the region there are dozens of caring Transbaikal residents in social services, shelters, centers, ready to make the life of people with disabilities more comfortable and easier.
