Scientists from the University of Freiburg conducted a survey in which more than 2.9 thousand people took part. Experts tried to find out how often men and women have erotic dreams. According to the results, about 18% of the respondents' dreams have a sexual content.
Experts compared this study with a similar one, which was conducted in 1996. As a result, the experts concluded that modern girls from 16 to 30 see much more erotic dreams than their predecessors.
The fairer sex admitted that most often they dream about sex itself. In second place - an offer to make love or just kissing, in third - masturbation. At the same time, the scientists noted that, judging by the study, celebrities appear more often in women's dreams than in men's dreams.
According to the authors of the survey, the increase in erotic dreams is associated with the spread of feminism now. Also, the reason may be a change in attitude towards sexuality.
“We assume that girls in modern society are more open about sex than women of previous generations,” the scientists said.
