Dietitian and nutritionist Irina Pisareva spoke about dangerous diets.
In an interview with Life.ru, she called the mono-diet the most harmful.
“People, having read on the Internet, start to use only kefir or buckwheat. This is very dangerous because it is unclear if you have a food allergy to this product. Moreover, the body will not receive all the necessary vitamins and microelements that are needed for normal life,”said the expert.
According to her, a diet based on the use of juices and smoothies is also dangerous, since the body's energy is not expended due to the intake of already processed food.
Pisareva also called the keto diet problematic.
“With it, a lot of fats enter our body, this is a big load on the body and especially on the liver,” she said.
As the expert explained, such a diet is permissible only for healthy people and for a short period of time.
Pisareva added that food should be varied.
