"Kidney transplantation is becoming more accessible to residents of Primorye in need. Life-saving operations will be carried out at the transplant and organ donation center, organized on the basis of the Primorsky Regional Clinical Hospital 1. Today, there are about 150 people living in Primorye who have previously undergone an organ transplantation operation, but outside The nearest such center is located in Siberia, "- said in a statement on the website of the regional government.
More than 450 citizens in the region are in need of kidney transplantation. For 2021, five quotas have been allocated for this operation. "Today, residents of Primorye apply for similar operations in the capital's clinics, waiting for the operation for months. From this year, such operations will be carried out in Primorye. The creation of a regional transplant center is consistent with the objectives of the national project "Health". It provides for reducing the mortality rate of the population, eliminating the personnel shortage in medical organizations, ensuring that all citizens are covered by preventive medical examinations at least once a year, and optimizing the work of medical institutions.
