In many cases, dental treatment requires contacting paid clinics, which is very expensive for patients.

Russian orthodontist Maria Balakireva, in an interview with the 360 TV channel, told how to save money when contacting such medical institutions.

“In order not to waste money, I always recommend that patients start treatment as soon as a problem becomes visible and not start it,” the specialist explained. "Tooth decay is cheaper to cure than pulpitis."

At the same time, she stressed that it is necessary to visit your district polyclinic at least once every six months and to carry out oral cavity sanitation there free of charge. There, the doctor will immediately determine if there are any dental problems and will begin treatment.

At the same time, the dentist noted that many of our compatriots go to have their teeth treated, for example, to Belarus, where their own dental materials are not produced.

“We in Russia carry out purchases from abroad, so a priori, if you use cheap materials of poor quality, then, of course, you can go to Belarus,” said Balakireva.

She also said that she met patients who put low-quality veneers in Ukraine. But such veneers darken over time and have to be changed. Moreover, not every dentist will undertake to cut such material.

According to the expert, the rate of caries development depends on the environment of the oral cavity. In some cases, pulpitis may appear in just a month.

“This, of course, is all individual and depends on the characteristics of the organism. It is impossible to make a specific gradation, but if caries is not treated, then pulpitis may appear in just a month,”she warned.

In addition, the dentist recalled that poor oral hygiene harms teeth when wearing braces. When fixing the bracket system, each patient is given a specialized hygiene kit, because a regular toothbrush is not suitable for dental care. In addition, people with braces are advised to rinse their mouths after each meal.
