Eating an exclusively plant-based diet can pose serious risks to the human body. It's all about the shortage of important biologically active substances: a person should receive about 170 of them per day with food. Such assessments were given by Dmitry Nikityuk, Professor, Director of the Federal Research Center for Nutrition, Biotechnology and Safety at the round table "Global trends in the development of new food products" … “If they are not there, then micronutrient deficiency occurs,” noted Dmitry Nikityuk. The shortage of biologically active substances for a long period is especially dangerous. “All this can end very badly,” the expert says. However, the body does not care which way to get those same 170 biological active substances. And if a person adheres to a strict herbivorous diet, then for life, it is absolutely necessary to supplement the diet with vitamin and mineral complexes and specialized products. Andrey Zyuzin, General Director of EFKO Innovations, predicts that in 30 years the share of traditional meat in world consumption will drastically decrease. According to him, traditional meat will occupy about 40% of the market, the rest will belong to products based on plant and cellular meat. Subscribe to the Invest Foresight channel in Yandex. Dzene
