Experts report that more side effects have been reported after vaccination against coronavirus than after vaccinations against other viral diseases. Ilya Yasny, a bioengineer, candidate of chemical sciences, head of the scientific expertise of the Inbio Ventures fund, clarified this point.

About 100 million people around the world have already been vaccinated, serious research has been carried out, and today we can confidently talk about the safety of registered anticancer vaccines, '' the specialist told KP.RU journalists.

He recalled that all the side effects of vaccination pass after a short time and are not capable of causing harm to the body. The same cannot be said about coronavirus infection.

Earlier, Ilya Yasny explained why older people tolerate the COVID-19 vaccine more easily. According to him, the body's immune response weakens with age and mitigates side effects. The production of antibodies in older people should be less active, but the immune response works differently in different people.

Side effects such as headache, fever and muscle pain are much less common in people over 60 years of age from Sputnik V than in younger people. This does not affect the effectiveness of the vaccine itself.

As NEWS.ru wrote, it is dangerous for older people to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection in the presence of those chronic diseases that turn into an aggressive stage with age. This was stated by Sergei Voznesensky, Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the RUDN University. He recalled that after vaccination in a polyclinic, a doctor is watching a person for half an hour, so that in case of at least a minimal risk of developing allergic reactions, he can help him.
