The study was carried out by Swedish scientists, 156,000 people took part in it. Patient data were obtained from Swedish hospitals. These are people who have survived myocardial infarction and are registered in the national SWEDEHEART quality register from 2006 to 2013.

The results of the study were published in the American Heart Journal. They show that the likelihood of a heart attack increases when a person is under severe stress - and these “stressful days” are reflected on the calendar. The incidence of myocardial infarction was higher during winter break and on Mondays, and lower at weekends and during summer break.

Earlier, according to the publication of The Times of India, studies have already been carried out related to the analysis of data on the prevalence of heart attacks. Monday, considered a busy day of the week, increases the likelihood, and very stressful events - earthquakes, football matches, etc., can also influence the development of myocardial infarction.

In addition to stress, which should not be forgotten, people with high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes are at risk for heart pathologies.
