The COVID-19 vaccine in the form of a fermented milk product was tested on animals. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the department of molecular microbiology of the Institute of Experimental Medicine (IEM) Alexander Suvorov. According to him, as a result, the formation of antibodies on the mucous membranes and in the blood of animals was established. Suvorov said that the immune response was very good. Earlier, the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Chekhonin announced that preclinical studies of the coronavirus vaccine, which can be injected into the body in the form of yogurt, were carried out. It is being developed at the site of the Institute of Experimental Medicine in St. Petersburg. The vaccine is called mucosal due to the fact that the vaccine is taken through the mouth and the maximum immune response occurs on the mucous membranes. The city authorities plan to open 170 vaccination points against coronavirus infection by early next year. Not only doctors and educators have the right to be vaccinated, but also nursing staff who do cleaning, administrators and all other workers. Registration for vaccinations in the capital has already opened. The main risk groups were expanded in accordance with the temporary guidelines of the Ministry of Health. The recording is now open two weeks in advance. Vaccinations can be given any day of the week from 08:00 to 20:00. When undergoing vaccination, you must have a passport, compulsory medical insurance policy and any document confirming employment in the relevant industry or organization. The city reserves the right to verify the accuracy of the information provided. Vaccination will be carried out twice, since "Sputnik V" consists of two components. First, people will be given the first component of the vaccine, and 21 days later, the second.
