LIPETSK, December 2. / TASS /. State pharmacies in the Lipetsk region have an adequate supply of antibiotics and antiviral drugs that are used to treat coronavirus and community-acquired pneumonia. This was announced by the head of the regional administration Igor Artamonov, having visited several pharmacies in the regional center.
We are talking about such drugs as levofloxacin, ceftriaxone, azithromycin, arbidol, influenzaferon and ingavirin. "All these drugs were available in the state pharmacies of Lipetskfarmatsia," Artamonov said. He noted that antibiotics are dispensed in all pharmacies strictly on prescription, they are available in sufficient quantities for both adults and children. if there is no drug, the pharmacist offers an analogue, "the head of the region noted. Antiviral drugs, according to him, are sold without a prescription, and there are also enough of them." You can also order drugs, the order is formed daily, "Artamonov said.
Having visited several private pharmacies, the head of the region noted that in them "the situation with medicines is not so stable." "One did not contain some of the antiviral drugs, and it is also depressing that the network pharmacy did not have antibiotics," Artamonov said, promising to send a message to Roszdravnadzor. “We will demand to check this network of pharmacies,” he said.
Earlier, the chief freelance specialist in clinical microbiology and antimicrobial resistance of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Roman Kozlov said that the disease caused by a new coronavirus infection is not an indicator for the use of antibiotics, but today more than 90% of patients with COVID-19 receive antibacterial drugs. Antibiotics are only justified if there are compelling signs of a bacterial infection.
