Vaskina returned to competitive practice at the Russian Championships in Kazan, where she won the 100 m backstroke. The Russian Short Course Championship will be held in St. Petersburg on December 14-19.
“This is the first start of the season for me, it's going hard, but when there was a break, I thought it would be even harder to come back. The break affected, such a pause in training should not be done. I want to let go of the situation, reboot and go into the Olympic season with renewed vigor, "Vaskina told reporters.
“Of course, I didn’t imagine the first Olympic season in my career. At school, too, due to the pandemic, exams were postponed, I had to take it ahead of schedule, but it turned out that I passed it with everyone - everyone was extended for a month, but I get two,” - she admitted.
