A recent study at McTill University found that squats could be a test of longevity. Scientists came to this conclusion when they decided to correlate a person's weight with his age, since according to statistics, at least 65% of the population dies precisely because of being overweight. In the course of the study, it turned out that the life span of people suffering from severe obesity decreases by 8 years, and those with moderate obesity - by 6 years. Also, for those who are 3-5 kg overweight, the probability of a shortened life is 3 years. Based on this, scientists stated that by doing squats it is quite possible to determine your approximate lifespan.
Squats should be performed as follows: sit on the floor, cross your legs, and then rise to the starting position. It is required to do this continuously the maximum number of times, after which it will be possible to evaluate your results according to the following indicators: if you managed to sit down 7 or more times at a time, then the person has good health and he will live a long time; a situation in which it turned out to sit down less than 7 times indicates the presence of age-related health problems, or poor physical shape. Failure to exercise can eventually lead to diabetes or cardiovascular disease, which are often the cause of death.
