According to the expert, first of all, it is important to exclude alcohol, coffee and tea.
- This way you can prevent the spasms of the blood vessels that these drinks cause. However, this does not mean at all that you need to give up your favorite tea. Replace it with green and the coffee with chicory. Thus, you will significantly reduce the load on the heart and improve its work, - explained the cardiologist.
He also recommended avoiding the use of salt and sugar. The first product tends to retain fluid in the body, and the second is quickly absorbed by the body and deposited in fat. Therefore, doctors often advise patients to avoid excessive consumption of sweets, white bread, canned food, sausages and semi-finished products in order not to gain excess weight and avoid pressure surges.
- In the diet of a person with high blood pressure, there should always be cereals, legumes, nuts, which are rich in magnesium - a nutritious and extremely important material for the work of the cardiovascular system, - added Dmitry Kozlov.
Therefore, according to him, it is necessary to include millet, oatmeal and buckwheat in the diet. For snacks, you can use raw almonds, walnuts. Also, do not forget about fruits and vegetables, which are better to eat until evening. Overweight is often a pressure provocateur, so doctors recommend maintaining it in the normal range.
