Despite the fact that the initiative is of a recommendatory nature, in case of controversial issues, the doctor will have to explain why he deviated from the recommendations for the patient's treatment. The introduction of the system will begin in Russia this year, and by the next it will have to spread to all regions, the Izvestia newspaper reports. The Ministry of Health told the newspaper that such a system will be used in the country for the first time.

According to the department's employees, clinical guidelines will help the doctor make the right decision in the treatment of major diseases. The list indicates which medications are best to prescribe to the patient, which regimen and diet is better to prescribe, the methods of diagnosis and treatment are listed.

As a preparatory stage for the introduction of a new practice, the Ministry of Health in 2016 completed an electronic rubricator system for clinical guidelines and a quick search for diagnostic and treatment algorithms. For this, all doctors had to be equipped with computers.

"Since 2017, this system begins to be implemented everywhere through the automated workplaces of doctors. Implementation in all regions should be completed by the end of 2018," the ministry said. Officials noted that the recommendations are still advisory in nature, but may become mandatory over time.

"Clinical guidelines are developed by the entire professional community. They can help, especially young specialists, make the right decision, tell about new drugs, diagnostic methods. But at the same time, the characteristics of each patient must be taken into account. Doctors should rely on the proposed treatment methods, but they do not become a dogma. can ", - said the vice-president of the National Medical Chamber Sergei Dorofeev.
