At the end of January, the management of the Rostov company "VTD TD" summed up the results of participation in the national project "Labor productivity". Improvement of business processes was implemented at the sites for the production of sausages and semi-finished products. According to Sergey Vasiliev, director of VTD TD LLC, both he himself and a significant part of the employees were at first skeptical about participating in the national project. But that changed after just two weeks, when the first results appeared. We started by analyzing the flow and identifying losses that impede an increase in labor productivity. The use of lean tools has strengthened contacts between departments. After the introduction of lean manufacturing tools, the production of semi-finished products accelerated 3.5 times. At the same time, the number of employees in the reference area was reduced from five to four. The structure of the enterprise has also changed. Now VTD TD LLC plans to introduce lean manufacturing in other areas as well. Sergei Vasiliev emphasized that the project was carried out in constant contact with the curator from the regional center of competence, Oleg Belitsky. In the first months, he visited the enterprise daily, and later - twice a week. Belitsky found an individual approach to each employee, and as a result, the entire team adopted lean manufacturing methods. Source: portal "Meat Expert"
