The design of the climate system in any car is thought out in such a way as to provide comfort to those in the cabin in all weather conditions outside. However, this is not always the case.

Experts explain that the heating of the "lower regions" of the passenger compartment is far from being good in all cars. On many models, the driver's feet are constantly freezing in cold weather, writes "AvtoVzglyad".

In some cases, such problems can be explained by the fact that there is a diesel engine under the hood. If it has not been retrofitted with additional heating systems, then it reaches its operating temperature in cold weather, for example, below -8 ° C, very slowly.

According to experts, in this case, only the "old-fashioned" method can be advised. To do this, it is advised to block the engine cooling radiator with a piece of cardboard during cold weather. It will prevent the cooling of the antifreeze by the counterflow of air, and also contribute to more efficient heating of the passenger compartment.

However, there is also such a situation when in a car with a "warm" gasoline engine one of the driver's legs freezes. This happens if the automaker has not thought about the configuration and location of the ventilation system nozzle, which is responsible for heating the legs. Sometimes it is installed in such a way that one of the lower limbs of the driver is located outside the airflow sector. In this case, it is impossible to move the "suffering" leg under a stream of warm air, since it is on the pedals.

In this case, experts say, self-modernization of the blower system can help. To do this, it will be necessary to forcibly increase the air supply to the motorist's feet, but without increasing the intensity of the entire ventilation system. The purpose of this is to create an excess of warm air in the area of the pedals, so that it flows to the legs.

To do this, a conventional computer cooling fan powered by 12 volts can be installed in the air duct directed at the driver's feet. It is advised to introduce it so that it drives warm air to the legs. It is, as a rule, connected to the on-board power supply, and is also equipped with a separate switch.

Earlier, drivers were told about common car malfunctions that you can fix yourself. It turned out that some breakdowns, which at first glance seem serious, can be corrected by simple actions.
