Since childhood, Azamat Shakirov dreamed of serving in the army and for the sake of his cherished goal, he lost weight and eliminated vision problems.
A resident of Bashkiria, Azamat Shakirov, lost 14 kilograms in order to be drafted into the army. According to the press service of the Central Military District, in the spring a 25-year-old young man arrived at the military registration and enlistment office, but did not pass the medical examination: he was overweight, and also had vision problems.
However, these obstacles did not stop the recruit on the way to military service, which he, according to him, dreamed of since childhood. And in order to get into the army, Azamat made a vision correction and enrolled in a gym.
“I didn't have money for a coach, but one coach volunteered to help me for free when he found out that I was practicing for the sake of a dream, to join the army. He prescribed training for me, monitored proper nutrition. As a result, I lost 14 kilograms in six months,”Shakirov shared the details of his story.
Now the young man weighs 118 kilograms. During the autumn draft, he successfully passed a medical examination and was drafted into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He will serve in the Navy in the Kaliningrad region.
