According to Kozlov, self-administration of antibiotics can negatively affect the patient's health.

- The appointment of antibiotic therapy in patients with COVID-19 is justified only if there are signs of a bacterial infection, including leukocytosis, the appearance of purulent sputum, said the microbiologist.

At the same time, it is emphasized that unreasonable antibiotic therapy is likely to harm the patient's body, which will lead to a deterioration in his condition.

Kozlov also stressed that a person must strictly follow all the recommendations of the attending physician for taking antibiotics, reports AGN Moskva.
