Buckwheat and rice can be harmful to the body and affect weight gain with a lack of movement. Nutritionist Daria Rusakova told about such properties of cereals, Nation News reports.

Rusakova explained that you should not eat a lot of cereals - they are high in calories, and Russians are now restricted in movement due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is better to replace such products with stewed or fresh vegetables.

It is better to eat porridge for breakfast, but avoid during the day, and include seasonal vegetables and fruits, or frozen seasonal berries in the daily diet. At the same time, it is worth reducing the consumption of confectionery, large side dishes, fried, fatty and sweet, and eating more meat, fish, poultry and dairy products.

Earlier it was reported that patients with COVID-19 should limit the amount of salty foods in the diet, since maintaining the correct water-salt balance is a mandatory part of treatment. According to therapist Philip Kuzmenko, it is also necessary to limit the use of alcohol, because it provokes dehydration. In addition, salty food makes the blood thicker, which is harmful in coronavirus.
