Even if the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Such data are cited by the journal "Science and Life", referring to the research of scientists from the University of Queensland (Australia). Together with colleagues from other universities, the researchers analyzed data from 30 scientific papers on carcinoma, a malignant tumor of the lining of the uterus - and came to the conclusion that pregnancy protects a woman from malignant neoplasm. The general statistics of the studied scientific works covered about 17 thousand women with a tumor, who were compared with 39 thousand healthy ones. One full pregnancy (ended with the birth of a child), according to experts, reduces the likelihood of cancer of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) by 15%. Also, the authors of the study concluded that the risk of endometrial cancer is also reduced by those pregnancies that end unsuccessfully. After such pregnancies, the risks are reduced to 7-9%. With what mechanisms this is connected, scientists have yet to find out. The scientific work was published in the International Journal of Cancer. Earlier "Letidor" wrote that it is important to know about the threat of miscarriage in early pregnancy. Photo: Depositphotos
