The whole of Segezha followed his fate. He is survived by a wife and a one-year-old daughter. 52-year-old resident of Segezha Andrei Korolev died in the Hospital for Veterans of Petrozavodsk. The official diagnosis is pneumonia. He tested negative for coronavirus. This story in the last days of the New Year's weekend was followed by the whole of Segezha, and then Karelia. A cry for help in social networks was posted by the man's wife, Inna. The woman said that the Segezha doctors could not help her husband, who had a serious illness with signs of coronavirus since the beginning of December - in addition to symptoms of pneumonia, there were problems with taste and smell. The man's family - his wife and little daughter - was also ill. Inna herself lost her sense of smell. The athletic man who does not smoke had a serious condition from the very beginning - a high temperature above 39, signs of pneumonia. Computed tomography showed that Andrey has bilateral pneumonia. Despite this, he was left at home. At first, they were treated remotely and, according to the woman, refused to take a covid test. The test was taken more than a week after the onset of the illness, after the man's condition worsened. Inna was also diagnosed with pneumonia. But the test came back negative. Every day Andrei was getting worse. As a result, he ended up in intensive care, and after on a ventilator, he even had to be put into a medication sleep. He spent three weeks in intensive care in Segezha. The man's wife, seeing that the Segezha doctors are powerless, on January 9 published a cry for help on social networks, and also wrote a letter to the head of Karelia. In it, the woman asked to transfer her husband to a hospital in Petrozavodsk and said that confidence in the Segezha doctors had been lost. The Ministry of Health of Karelia reacted to the appeal and made a decision on January 10 to bring the man by helicopter to Petrozavodsk. And that was done. However, the measures taken too late did not help. On January 12, Andrei Korolev died. In the "Segezha Online" group there was a message that his wife Inna, who was left alone with a small child, needs help. The Karelia.News portal expresses condolences to the family and friends of Andrey Korolev.
