The head of the Ministry of Health of the Samara region, Armen Benyan, in an exclusive interview with sova.info, spoke about how things are now with the infection in the region and how to act when feeling unwell. How did we behave before the coronavirus pandemic? At a temperature of 37, most people did not have the thought that it was necessary to urgently call an ambulance. What can we say, many suffered the disease on their feet (which is, of course, very bad). The pandemic has changed attitudes towards colds. Armen Benyan, Minister of Health of the Samara Region, spoke about what steps should be taken for what specific symptoms. By the way, he himself had been ill with a coronavirus in a mild form. But for those who are beginning to get sick (not necessarily with coronavirus) or are already being treated, the Minister of Health has, as it is now fashionable to say, cases. When should you delay calling an ambulance? - If you have a temperature of 37-38 for a couple of days, there is no shortness of breath, but there are signs of ARVI, contact the local polyclinic or the hotline: 8-800-30-22-163, says Benyan. - From there, the information will go to the emergency service - it works from 8 to 20 (if necessary, the time will be extended to 22) and ensures that the response to an appeal does not exceed one day. Important: computed tomography (CT) does not need to be done for everyone! - Only the doctor determines the indications for CT, since it is a significant radiation load on the body, - emphasizes the minister. - If a person has a body temperature of 37.5, for example, he started taking medications, he has no deterioration, no shortness of breath, respiratory rate - up to 20 times per minute, then there is no reason to sound the alarm. But you need to be treated and observed. To increase the availability and efficiency of medical care, according to Armen Benyan, the number of ambulances is increasing. “Separate teams are now being created for patients with high fever and suspected coronavirus,” Benyan said. - The Government of the region and Governor Dmitry Azarov personally rendered great assistance, transferring vehicles to medical institutions. When should you dial 03? In an ambulance, according to Benyan, it is necessary to contact an ambulance in those cases when there is a worsening of the condition against the background of treatment and there is an understanding that you can not cope at home. There are also criteria for this: - This is a persistent temperature preservation above 38-38.5 degrees for three days or more, the appearance and increase of shortness of breath and general weakness, a high pulse and a number of symptoms, - says Benyan. Today, according to the Minister of Health of the Siberian Branch, the number of beds in the region is being increased - over the past week, about 680 beds have been deployed, in the coming days the regional hospital for war veterans will be involved in this work. This is done for preventive purposes: to be prepared if the situation worsens. But now it is too early to talk about it. "Controlled" epidemic This year, the coronavirus has been added to the familiar viruses. And seeking medical attention is understandable and correct. - But only you should contact where the necessary format of medical workers is waiting for you, - stressed the head of the regional Ministry of Health. The minister stressed that the situation with the epidemic is changing all the time, but it is under control. - Our task is precisely to manage the epidemic. Now we are doing this by increasing and reformatting medical resources, by reducing the incidence of diseases by adhering to anti-epidemic regimens and the correct redistribution of patients.
