UFA, December 7 - RIA Novosti. Vaccination against coronavirus 42 doctors of the Orenburg region from the "red zone" with the Russian drug "Sputnik V" was successful without causing complications, the government of the Orenburg region said.
The first batch of Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine was delivered to the region in September.
"The drug was administered to 42 doctors working in the red zones of covid hospitals in Orenburg. No complications were recorded after vaccination," the regional government said in a statement.
It is noted that the second batch of the vaccine has arrived in the region - 1 thousand pieces.
"The vaccine is stored in the regional pharmacy warehouse, equipped with all the necessary equipment. Sputnik V will be delivered to vaccination points in compliance with all the necessary requirements," the regional government said.
First of all, employees of medical and educational organizations, employees of social services, who are constantly in contact with a large number of people, will be vaccinated.
The authorities recalled that the vaccine is administered in two phases, three weeks apart. After the first vaccination, humoral immunity is formed, that is, protective antibodies appear, after the second, a more stable and prolonged cellular immunity is formed.
More than 24 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the Orenburg region, of which 236 patients have died.
