The expert appeared on the air of the program "On the Most Important" on the TV channel "Russia 1". According to him, it is better to have dinner at least two hours before bedtime. At the same time, it is permissible to eat some foods later, as they have a calming effect.
These, according to Ginzburg, include carrots, cucumbers and apples: when chewing, people calm down, their feelings of anxiety decrease and the level of the stress hormone cortisol decreases. Chicken and poultry are beneficial because they contain tryptophan, an amino acid that helps in the production of melatonin, which regulates sleep. You can also eat boiled eggs, scrambled eggs without milk and fish, as well as bran without flavor enhancers - they contain magnesium, which soothes the central nervous system.
Earlier it was reported that Ginsburg called peas a product that protects against cancer and strengthens bones. However, he admitted that the use of this product can lead to flatulence.
