Kirov region is ready to start mass vaccination against the new coronavirus infection. The necessary infrastructure has been created in the region for the transportation and storage of the vaccine.

The region is ready to receive any amount of vaccine, - said Dmitry Kurdyumov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kirov Region. - Additional refrigeration equipment was purchased and installed, logistics, compliance with the cold chain, vaccine production technique, employees were engaged. Mobile vaccination teams will be organized.

Currently, vaccination against COVID-19 is carried out at 12 points, which work on the principle of "cluster" consolidation of territories. By March 1, it is planned to supply 55,000 doses of the vaccine to the region, 18,000 of which will arrive shortly. This will expand the geography and increase the coverage of the population with vaccinations.

Currently, the total volume of vaccine delivered to the region against the new coronavirus infection is 4,300 doses. 4,240 people were vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine, 952 people were vaccinated with the second. 809 residents of the region over 60 years old received the first component of the vaccine, 29 people over 60 years of age underwent the full cycle of vaccination against coronavirus infection.

Vaccinations are carried out both on weekdays and weekends. So, last Sunday a resident of the regional center Anatoly Martyanov was introduced to the second component of the vaccine. The man shared that people around him are actively interested in vaccination, take a balanced approach to the question, so they ask about his health.

I believe that it is imperative to be vaccinated. I don't want to live in such a rhythm as now. It is better for everyone to graft and continue to live in peace, - Anatoly Martyanov believes. - Many friends ask how I got the vaccine. I honestly say that there was dry mouth, fever, chills. But the very next morning everything was gone. Now I did the second one - a fixing vaccine. You should not be afraid of vaccination. Once upon a time, the flu shot was questionable, but now we see that it works.

Let us remind you that immunization is carried out with Sputnik V in two stages with a break of three weeks. Re-vaccination is necessary to ensure the development of long-term immunity. The drug is well tolerated, no complications have been reported.
