State Duma deputy, former chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation Gennady Onishchenko told who needs to be vaccinated against COVID-19, in an interview with the publication "Vzglyad".

- Of course, first of all, we should vaccinate people over 60 years old, but this particular vaccine is allowed only in the range from 18 to 60. That is, the main group for medical reasons does not fall under this vaccination. Therefore, the distribution is primarily based on professionalism. It would also be necessary to add to this people from 18 to 60 who have problems with the endocrine system, but do not fall under teachers, doctors and civil servants,”Onishchenko said.
The expert also noted that in the future, when the production of the vaccine is fully established, it will be necessary to vaccinate both sellers and workers of vehicles and older people.
Earlier, allergist-oncoimmunologist Daniil Schepelyaev commented on the idea of introducing immune passports in an interview with Nation News. Such a passport would have to confirm that a person has antibodies to coronavirus.
“To make passports for everyone is too high a cost, and the efficiency is rather low, in my opinion,” Shchepelyaev said.
The doctor also clarified that immunodeficiencies are not subject to standardization, so the creation of such passports in the world community is quite problematic.
