Over the past day, 531 people have died from coronavirus in Russia. This is almost a hundred more than the day before. At the same time, the number of new cases of infection is gradually decreasing, reports the correspondent of the TV channel "MIR 24" Anastasia Glebova.

According to the operational headquarters, over the past 24 hours, another 22,934 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Russia.

In St. Petersburg, vaccination against COVID-19 is temporarily paused. Vaccination enrollment has been suspended. The reason is that vaccine stocks have already been scheduled several days in advance. Until the end of January, the city will receive another 88 thousand doses, in February - 200 thousand. Therefore, the authorities decided to open additional vaccination stations. There should be no less than a hundred of them.

Employees of large city enterprises will be able to get vaccinated at work. A number of companies have already received licenses to open offices. It will also be possible to get vaccinated in commercial clinics. The injection will be delivered free of charge.

More than 13 thousand residents of the northern capital of Russia have already been vaccinated against coronavirus infection. It is planned to renew the registration for vaccination against COVID-19 by the end of the week.
