The Russian Embassy called on Russians in Britain and especially in London to be vigilant in connection with the increased frequency of robberies, the diplomatic department issued a warning entitled "On the increasing frequency of attacks on people using acid in the UK."
"We urge Russian citizens to be extremely careful in British cities and, in particular, in London, not to walk in the immediate vicinity of the roadway, not to approach unfamiliar cars, to keep away from people approaching close by on mopeds and motorcycles, to be careful on the streets when walking.", reads the warning.
It is reported that, according to the City of London, in 2016, 455 offenses involving the use of acid in attacks on people were registered in the capital, and in the first quarter of 2017 there were already 114 cases of attacks.
“According to statistics, the largest number of attacks occurs in the London area of Newham.
