The Minister of Health of Yakutia, Elena Borisova, on the air of the radio program "Dialogue with Power" said that about 50% of the republic's population had been vaccinated against influenza and ARVI, which is very important in the fight against ailments.
The specialist recalled that influenza vaccination should exceed 60% of the general population. Now about 50% of the population have already been vaccinated, the remaining 10% will receive the vaccine by November.
Borisova also noted that the situation with the coronavirus in the republic is tense, but she does not consider it a second wave, now there is a seasonal outbreak of ARVI and influenza diseases.
She recalled that now the drug for vaccination against coronavirus is undergoing the third level of testing, and will soon be put into production. A trial batch of the vaccine was provided for medical workers, 42 doctors have already received vaccinations.
Mass vaccination of the population of Yakutia starts no earlier than February next year.
