In England, a mother of two had a lifelong diet of chips, chicken nuggets, crackers and soda, and died of malnutrition at the age of 32.
A resident of the English city of Winchester, Hampshire, has never eaten vegetables or fruits in her life. Her entire diet consisted of chips, nuggets, crackers and soda. According to the doctors, she suffered from a selective eating disorder in which a person partially or completely restricts food intake due to their color, smell, texture, and so on.
Even during pregnancy, the Englishwoman continued to eat her favorite treats. Another attempt to get rid of the disorder occurred in 2011, but doctors were unable to help her. The woman refused to eat, she was constantly nauseous, which made her throat black.
At the same time, the woman fed her two daughters with normal food, but she could not change her taste preferences even after doctors in 2019 said that she was in danger of death.
When the Englishwoman got worse, and she spent about six weeks in bed, her husband decided to send her to the hospital. However, despite the efforts of specialists, the woman died two weeks after hospitalization.
In the conclusion of the posthumous examination, it was said that the patient died of "malnutrition caused by the refusal to take enough food and drinks, which led to multiple injuries of internal organs," reports the Daily Mail.
