Antiviral drugs and antibiotics disappear from the shelves of pharmacies in the regions. The excitement has already led to a shortage of some drugs. Moreover, people are swept away not only by antiviral and antibiotics. But also prophylactic drugs, vitamins, dietary supplements. Doctors are trying to reason with people and not buy drugs in reserve and without a doctor's prescription. According to Dni.ru, with reference to the words of Tatyana Savinova, head of the Ministry of Health of the Orenburg Region, sales of some antiviral drugs have grown 11 times. They buy, according to her, in reserve, like they bought buckwheat in the spring. And she recalled that drug abuse can lead to the body's immunity to antibiotics when a real danger comes. According to the Minister of Health of the Perm Territory Elena Strueva, a three-month supply of antiviral drugs is now being spent in a couple of weeks. In Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Rostov regions - the same problem. The chief physician of the OGBUZ "Irkutsk Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention" Pavel Polenov called for an end to the hype around antibiotics, because they may not be enough for sick people. Panic is fueling drug shortages, he said. And he assures that it is enough for an ordinary person to take precautions - wear a mask, maintain social distance and wash their hands. However, doctors should pay attention to the fact that the excitement is associated not only with the fear of the growing incidence of ARVI and coronavirus. The people are stocking up for future use in case the ambulance does not arrive and they have to save themselves. So the Russian "maybe" has undergone changes. And there is a reason - there are many cases when an ambulance has to wait for several hours, and sometimes days.
