The Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko was vaccinated against the coronavirus with the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.

“Indeed, I took part in the testing of Sputnik V, a domestic vaccine against coronavirus. I was offered the vaccine in July and I agreed. The vaccine is two-component - specialists make two injections with a time interval,”wrote Limarenko on Instagram.

According to him, the tests were successful, and immunity was formed. The vaccine really works, the governor said. He noted that Sakhalin residents will soon be able to vaccinate themselves voluntarily, most likely the drug will arrive on the island by December.

Continuing the topic of vaccinations and health. I see that the media and social networks are actively discussing information about vaccination against covid. Including asking the question, have I been vaccinated? Indeed, I took part in tests of the SputnikV drug, a domestic vaccine against coronavirus. I was offered the vaccine in July and I agreed. The vaccine is two-component - specialists make two injections with a time interval. A month later, according to the test results, the doctors realized that in my case the tests were successful, and I developed immunity. For me, the result is also obvious: the vaccine really works. Medicine and healthcare for me, both as a person and as a governor, is the main concern. Good health is the key to successful work and a happy life. Therefore, I never tire of urging you, Sakhalin and Kuril residents, to undergo medical examination and take care of your health. I myself regularly undergo professional examinations. Just the other day, they informed me that my health was in order. I ask you all to systematically go to doctors, find time for sports and an active lifestyle, and residents aged 65+ are especially sensitive and attentive to their well-being. As for the mass vaccination against covid: it will be possible to vaccinate voluntarily, most likely the drug will arrive on the island by December. Friends, take care of yourself and be healthy!
