Allergist-immunologist Vladimir Bolibok assessed the situation with antibodies in COVID-19.

“Even those people who have had COVID-19 and who have antibodies, the vaccine will serve as a revaccination for them. They will receive an antigen, the body will react to it - and their antibody titer will rise even higher than after a previous illness,”he said in an interview with Sputnik radio.

According to him, those who have been ill with COVID-19 in a mild form or, conversely, in the most severe form, vaccination is definitely necessary. As the expert explained, in both cases, the antibody titer is weak.

“Of course, if they receive a vaccine, their titer will rise, they will be better protected in the future,” Bolibok added.

Earlier, the head of the laboratory of biotechnology and virology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Novosibirsk State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Netesov, in an interview with URA.RU, commented on the possible connection between the blood group of patients and the severity of the course of the coronavirus.
