6342 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine against the new coronavirus infection have been delivered to the Nizhny Novgorod region to date. This was announced by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin. According to the head of the region, as of December 30, 2020, almost 1,200 people were vaccinated in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Vaccination against the new coronavirus infection is open to healthcare workers, education workers, as well as social workers and volunteers. The vaccine is two-component, it is administered to a person twice with an interval of 21 days to develop immunity. “At the moment, 9 vaccination points have been opened in the region - 7 in the regional center and 2 in the districts of the region. In 2021, the number of vaccination points is planned to be increased to 32,”said Gleb Nikitin. According to the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, it is possible to apply for vaccination on the website of the Ministry of Health of the region, however, the vaccine will be available for all groups of the population in 2021. Vaccinated patients will receive a certificate, which is a registration form for those vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection. Recall that you do not need to receive a referral from a doctor, but any vaccination, including from a new coronavirus infection, must be preceded by a doctor's consultation. Those who have had COVID-19 can be vaccinated 6 months after recovery, and those who have been in contact with patients - 14 days after contact, if no infection has occurred.
