“Firstly, this applies to the vegetables that we recommend to eat - they contain useful vitamins and minerals. And, secondly, garlic helps us protect ourselves from infection, because when a person eats a couple of cloves of garlic, they do not come close to him at a distance, at least a meter and a half, because there is an unpleasant smell. Therefore, they leave the person, and this does not allow the droplets with the pathogen to reach the mucous membranes,”Lyashko explained.
In addition, the chief sanitary doctor warned that antibiotics can only be taken as prescribed by a doctor and they will not cope with a viral infection, they should be taken only in case of a bacterial infection.
Lyashko also recalled that during the COVID-19 pandemic, absolutely all citizens can be potential carriers of the virus - that is why you need to wear a mask.
He gave the example of a candle that cannot be blown out if you are wearing a mask. Accordingly, it is important that in the mask “we cannot cough up or sneeze out mucus with a potential pathogen further than an outstretched hand,” Lyashko noted.
Earlier, Ukrainian pediatrician Yevgeny Komarovsky noted that the only plus of consuming garlic during the spread of viruses is that after consuming it, you involuntarily have to maintain a distance during communication.
