Experts have studied in detail the orbital-frontal and median prefrontal cortex of the brain of mice. It turned out that stimulating these two zones with serotonin made them more patient.

Serotonin is responsible for behavior and mood. The results of scientific work have shown that the hormone also controls patience. The higher the concentration of the hormone, the longer the rodents were ready to wait for food.

During the experiment, two parts of the brain were stimulated alternately. Exposure to the first zone made the rodents wait longer, stimulation of the second made the mice more patient when food got into the feeder.

Scientists have previously found that good chimpanzees live longer. In addition, observation of females has shown that those of them live longer, who are more willing to accept new experiences.
