An expert in the field of immunology Vladislav Zhemchugov said that vaccination against coronavirus infection in Russia can be made mandatory for workers in a number of professions.
According to the specialist, there are a number of professions whose labor contracts contain a clause on the need to be vaccinated against "special" diseases every year. In particular, Zhemchugov drew attention to the fact that "he worked like this all his life."
The expert also emphasized that medical professionals and teachers should be obliged to administer flu shots.
- I think that why not add (coronavirus to this list - ed.), It is as severe as the flu, - said the immunologist in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
Zhemchugov stressed that the relevant practice could be applied to representatives of those professions who come into contact with patients with COVID-19. In particular, it is proposed to extend the norm to social workers.
