The yoga festival took place in the Larisa Lazutina park in Odintsovo. A rich program was prepared for the guests: practice in the fresh air, meditation, breathing exercises, as well as tea and oriental treats.

Olga Grablina's Saturday morning began with sports. At 46, she looks 35. The secret to her beauty is yoga. Two years ago, a woman went to India and took a course of meditation and hatha yoga. Since then, she has been studying it regularly. The woman has been working as an accountant for over 20 years, and this sport, in her opinion, is a great help to relieve stress and keep muscles in good shape.

“I really like that yoga also affects spiritual development, that is, here the psychological state is combined with the physical. And when you exercise physically, it also affects the psyche. I have become much calmer, more cheerful,”noted Olga Grablina.

There were a lot of yoga lovers like Olga in Odintsovo. A festival was held for them in the Larisa Lazutina Park in honor of the International Day of Yoga. The guests warmed up in the central glade and made 108 suriy namaskar or salutations to the sun. This is a complex of physical and breathing exercises that helps to boost metabolism and recharge. And the number 108 is considered sacred in Buddhism.

In addition, a master class on meditation was held for everyone and told how to relax and feel a state of complete peace. And then they showed you various exercises that help you stay in good physical shape. One of the easiest in hatha yoga is the Ushtrasana pose or the camel pose. It helps correct posture, fights slouching and stretches the anterior abdominal muscles.

The history of yoga goes back to ancient times. It is believed that Indian civilizations were the first to practice one of its forms as early as 3000 BC. And now yoga has many directions - hatha, raja, karma and others. However, in the modern world in most cases it is physical exercise that is associated with yoga, but in fact it is a system of methods of working with the body and mind to achieve a specific goal - opening the soul.

“There is a separate meditation. There are separate breathing practices, there is only work with the body. All together - it will be yoga. When you live according to some inner moral principles, treat the world around you the way you would like it to treat you - this will also be yoga,”said yoga coach Svetlana Tolstikova.

In total, the festival was attended by over 70 people. And thanks to this event, Olga Grablina discovered new directions for herself and is going to practice them in the future.
