According to the rules, vaccination should be carried out in advance, before the start of the epidemic, but in today's situation there is no choice. This statement was made by the head of the Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after G. P. Somov, virologist Mikhail Shchelkanov.
He explained that you need to try as much as possible to get sick two weeks before the first injection and within three weeks between the first and second doses. That is why, against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, self-isolation is justified during vaccination. Shchelkanov announced this at the FEFU Academic Council, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko explained who first of all needs vaccination against COVID-19. As a reminder, from January 18, all Russians who wish can pass it. Vaccinations will be given with one of two registered domestic drugs for COVID-19. The Russians will be injected with "Sputnik V" or "EpicVacCorona", the vaccination procedure is free.
As Profil wrote, those who have recovered from COVID-19 are advised to postpone vaccination. The reason lies in the characteristics of the organism that has undergone the virus. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova drew attention to this. She noted that, despite the gradual decrease in antibodies after an illness, cellular immunity does not go anywhere and there is no sense in rushing.
